LocketHQ, LLC operates Stowen. Stowen is a product of LocketHQ, LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains how LocketHQ, LLC ("LocketHQ," "we," "us," or "our"), the company that operates Stowen, a product of LocketHQ, LLC, handles information collected through the Stowen website at https://getstowen.com (the "Website"). At present, the Website promotes Stowen and allows visitors to join an email waitlist. This policy addresses the current Website and waitlist, not the future Stowen desktop application or any account-based service that has not yet launched.
1.Information we collect
Waitlist information. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide. The waitlist does not currently require a user account or password.
Website analytics information. We use PostHog to understand activity on the Website. Depending on the analytics configuration and your browser settings, analytics information may include pages viewed, interactions with the Website, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device characteristics, referring pages, visit times, and cookies or similar identifiers. Some of this information may constitute personal information under applicable law.
Technical information. Our hosting infrastructure may also process information needed to deliver the Website and maintain security, such as IP addresses and request or error logs. The precise fields and retention settings depend on the deployed configuration.
2.How we use information
We use waitlist email addresses to manage signups and communicate about Stowen, including product development updates, early-access invitations, and launch announcements. We use website and technical information to understand Website usage, improve the experience, troubleshoot problems, maintain reliability, and protect against misuse.
We do not describe the collection of payment information, desktop workspace content, or application account data here because those are not part of the current waitlist signup.
3.Where information is processed and who helps us
Waitlist email addresses are stored through our custom backend, with related customer relationship management (CRM) information hosted on our virtual private server (VPS) in Helsinki, Finland. This describes our identified waitlist/CRM storage location, not necessarily the location of every system involved in operating the Website.
We use PostHog as a third-party analytics provider. PostHog may process analytics information in accordance with its services and our configuration. Its selected hosting region, specific tracking features, and applicable international data transfers should be confirmed against the deployed setup.
We may disclose information to providers operating the Website, backend, hosting, and communications infrastructure only as necessary for those services, or where disclosure is required by law, needed to protect rights and security, or connected with a legitimate business transaction. This policy does not identify unnamed vendors as already being used.
4.Cookies and analytics choices
PostHog may use cookies, local storage, or comparable technologies depending on how analytics are configured. Browser controls can be used to restrict or clear cookies, although this may affect Website functionality. Where legally required, we will obtain consent before setting non-essential analytics identifiers or using analytics technologies that require consent.
If the Website offers an analytics consent control, its available choices and effects will be shown there. We do not represent that a specific cookie banner, opt-out control, or analytics mode is already deployed.
5.Email preferences and your requests
You can ask us to remove your email address from the waitlist, stop receiving waitlist communications, or request access to or correction of the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Where a message contains an unsubscribe option, you can use it as well.
Depending on your location, applicable privacy law may provide additional rights, including rights to delete data, object to or restrict some processing, or lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator. We will review requests and respond as required by applicable law. We may need limited information to verify a request.
6.How long we retain information
We retain waitlist information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the waitlist, communicate about Stowen, and satisfy applicable legal or operational requirements, unless you request deletion and no exception applies. Analytics and server-log retention depend on our configured provider and infrastructure settings. We have not stated a fixed retention period because one has not been confirmed.
7.Security
We take reasonable steps intended to protect the information we handle, including limiting access to systems and information as appropriate. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. This policy does not make claims about specific encryption, certifications, or controls that have not been independently confirmed.
8.Children’s privacy
The Website and waitlist are not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information in circumstances requiring deletion under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Contact [email protected] with concerns.
9.External websites
The Website may link to third-party websites. Their information practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
10.Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy as the Website, our providers, or our practices change. We will post the updated policy here with a revised effective date and provide additional notice if required by law. If Stowen launches new data-collecting features, this policy should be reviewed and updated before those features become available.
